Terms and conditions
Last updated 26 September 2026
These terms apply to the website nyen.cc and to NYEN software published on it, both provided by the NYEN project. By using the site or running the software you accept them. If you do not accept them, do not use either.
NYEN
NYEN is a proof-of-work chain with native tokens and NFTs. Its mainnet rules, set in the consensus code at genesis: algorithm Nekohash, 60 s blocks, 10 NYEN per block, halving every 2,100,000 blocks, a cap of 42,000,000 NYEN and 0 premine. The block subsidy goes 100% to the miner. Transaction fees go 50% to the miner and 50% to the treasury, enforced by consensus.
The network runs as a testnet today. Testnet data resets at mainnet. The mainnet date is not set.
The website describes the network, reads it through a public API and sends creation requests to your own wallet. It does not run the network, hold funds or keys, or control the network.
No offer or advice
- NYEN is not sold on this site. Nobody is offered, allocated or promised NYEN. New NYEN comes only from mining.
- Nothing on the site is investment, financial, legal or tax advice.
- No statement about future value, exchange listings, releases or mainnet timing is a promise.
Tokens and NFTs
- You sign every step in Nyen Wallet on your computer. nyen.cc cannot sign, change or reverse a transaction.
- The create fee and network fees go to the network and are non-refundable, also when you stop before the last step.
- A ticker is unique and permanent. It cannot be released, renamed or reused.
- The supply model cannot change after creation.
- Metadata (name, description, logo and artwork links) is self-published on the token's identity. Consensus and nyen.cc do not check it. You are responsible for the rights to what you publish.
- NFT artwork stays off-chain. Only its SHA-256 is on-chain. If the file at the link changes or disappears, nobody can restore it.
- Tokens and NFTs created on testnet are deleted when testnet resets at mainnet.
Software
Nyen Wallet and NyenMiner are not released yet. Software published on nyen.cc comes with its open-source license and a SHA-256 hash. The license, not these terms, governs copying, changing and redistributing the code. Verify the hash before you run a file, and delete the file if the hash does not match.
Your responsibilities
- You alone hold your keys. Back up your wallet file. Nobody can recover lost keys, and lost keys mean lost NYEN, tokens and NFTs.
- Mining uses your hardware, electricity and connection at your own cost and risk.
- You are responsible for knowing whether mining, holding, creating or transferring crypto assets is lawful where you live and how it is taxed, and for following those rules.
- You will not use the site or the software to attack the network, other users or third parties, or to break any law.
Risk
Crypto networks can fail. Software has bugs. Chains can fork, stall or be attacked. NYEN, tokens and NFTs may never have value, may lose all value, and may become impossible to sell. The network's participants could change the consensus rules in ways nobody here controls. Only commit what you can afford to lose.
Liability
The site and the software are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including any warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy or non-infringement. To the fullest extent permitted by law, the NYEN project and its contributors are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of the site, the software or the network, including lost funds, lost data, hardware damage, lost profits or consequential loss, even if advised of the possibility. Where the law does not allow liability to be excluded, it is limited as far as the law permits.
Using the site
You may read, link to and share the site. Do not scrape it at a rate that slows it for others, probe it for vulnerabilities without permission, or present it as your own. The NYEN name and logo identify this project. You may use them to refer to NYEN truthfully, not to suggest an endorsement that does not exist.
Analytics and cookies
The site uses Google Analytics. The Privacy policy lists what is sent and which cookies are set. Pressing Reject changes nothing about how the site works.
Changes
These terms may change. The date at the top is the date of the current version. Using the site after a change means you accept the new version.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of the place where the NYEN project is established, and disputes go to the courts of that place, except where the law of your country gives you protections that cannot be overridden. If any part of these terms is unenforceable, the rest still applies.
